11-54 is the story of a filly exploring a strange facility filled with hostile creatures and unstable architecture.
You've gone quite a ways in the last few days but as it stands, your journey is not over.
So far you were born into this facility from mysterious tubes that litter the building. You've managed to die twice, only to
be re-born from the tubes. Along the way you met a pony who is your clone, who is much older than you, and remembers the
facility before if fell into disrepair. Your older clone who you've named Spearmint told you about the mental conditioning
program that the facility used to run, which left her a bit of a psychological mess. There are various hostile artificial
organisms created by the facility that lurk the halls. You are also being hunted by the automated security who seeks to
contain the artificial organisms. Along the way you've also meet an investigative reporter by the Name of Photo Bomb who was
in a helicopter that crashed into the building. Upon meeting the reporter you choose to name yourself Peppermint. After escaping a lab housing a bio-computer's and recently exploring an aquatic biology laboratory you got your ass kicked by a telepathic creature which lost you a good portion of your inventory.
You then traveled up stairs with your companions only to find another giant mole and a lab protected by a new active A.I. that frightens Spearmint for some reason.

What will you do now?

Come on in to the 11-54 CYOA and help this filly and her companions escape.

Current supplies, a crowbar, a .45 sub machine (2 bullets), a scalpel, your flak jacket, ID badge for security guard Steak Styles, a .308 rifle (15 rounds), a first-aid kit [partially used], a pen and some loose sheets of paper.

>You consider you options a bit more. Ahead is that stupid giant mole thing. That won't be easy to get by you imagine.
>There is also the laboratory but the seem to have detected that two of you are bioform 11-54. Fortunately, they believe this is a mistake in the scanners at this point, but you worry about what they will do if they learn that you and Spear are essentially the same pony. You could always also head back down stairs through the stairwell but you think that might feel like negative progress.
>All this time you start to worry about Spearmint. She still seems a little shaken up after you talked to that A.I.
>Your concentration is broken by PhototBomb letting out a little squeak of pain, followed by the word, "fuck."
>PB sits there scrunching her muzzle and looking back .

>As you snap back to the situation at hand you give P.B. a half-smile and take a step towaed her.
"Are you okay? We can take a rest if you want P'Bers."
>Photo Bomb turns around and hangs her head.
>"No. I'm fine..."
"You don't need to be tough for us. We..."
>Photobomb cuts you off, "You know what? Maybe you could give me another swig of that vodka you found. Maybe that's all I need to do what needs to be done..."

What do you need to do PB? If you're thinking of leaving us alone, then that's the most selfish thing you could do, cause we want you to stay. We need you to stay. Please Photo Bomb.
>>
>>28086093
Photo the only thing you need to do is survive this place and help me and spearmint integrate into pony society. We would really like it if we could live with you when we're out. While doing so you will also publish pieces exposing the patwrite corporation for who they really are (anonymously of course) and what they really do.

Look, barring the fact that it's horribly rude to think of someone in terms of how useful they can be to you, we'd very much prefer you not play hero. If that's what you're thinking about.

About the mole, what if we managed to disguise our smell as something else? like, if we can find anything that might be a bit smelly, rub it on ourselves and hope that it's a smell that wouldn't cause it to wake up?

"No, NO! Just No! I can't believe that you would think of someone in terms of how useful they can be to you. That's just... Wrong! I don't care how much you can do for us. We're all going to leave together! Alive!"
>Photobomb seems to be shaking a bit. You wait for a response but she doesn't give one.
>You don't need to play the hero for us, you don't need to sacrifice yourself. We just, we just want to help you... Besides, Who's going to show us how things work on the outside, and who's going to tell the world our story when we get outside?"
>PB's voice wavers as she speaks in between her sniffles, "So that's it, ou think you need me to guide you after you get out of here. Well you're asking the wrong fucking pony. It's funny I start feeling bad about trying to use everypony and you tell me just how sick it is right before talking about using me. It's a vicious fucking cycle. All I want to do is something good now, but I'm scared... I'm rambling, URgh..."
>You take another look around the room for something useful. There are some sticks near the plant growth but not much else. This area doesn't look like it was really supposed to be used. You remember a room marked security near the terminal you talked to next to the labs but the A.I. will detect you if you try slipping by.
You try thinking of something you could use to mask your scent but the only thing you can see around you that you could smother yourself with is the fluid from inside the tubes running through this room. oddly enough there does seem to be some leaking on the floor around these tubes.

What do you do?
>>
>>28095107

We are not talking about using you. You are friend and the only one that we trust. It's because that we trust and care about you that we want you to show us what the outside world is.
>>
>>28095107
if you don't want to be with us when we're out that's fine. but don't think that we just want to use you. we do want to hug you though, and cuddle, and do fun things together.

alright how about this. we have security send the robots up to us and then poke the mole thing with a stick. we then have them take each other out and run past where the mole was sleeping.
>>
>>28095107
>but I'm scared...

We're all scared PB. But we can't give in to fear or despair.
>>
>>28095107
Examine the fluid. What does it smell like? Does it look hazardous?
>>
>>28095107
>and you tell me just how sick it is right before talking about using me. It's a vicious fucking cycle.
Friends help each other out, it's only using one another if you're doing it with intentions of only helping yourself and never giving back. Which is not what we are thinking.

We won't give up on you just cause you're scared, but we need to you work with us on this. We're all scared, look at this damn place. You'd have to be insane NOT to be scared.

>>28095149
Let's give the fluid a closer look, not sure what else to do at the moment.
>>
>>28095107
>You remember a room marked security near the terminal you talked to next to the labs but the A.I. will detect you if you try slipping by.

Since the Ai is confused by two 11-54's have one confront the Ai and keep it occupied while someone else checks out the security room and see if anyhing could be done to open the door.

"But, We... At least I want both me and Spearmint to be friends with you. I want to be able to just hug and cuddle with you and just do fun things. You wanted a story, you told us this, and I want you to have it."
>PB shutters, "I'm sorry that's just how... I think about ponies, and it should make me sick. but I'm. I'm just like that."
>You come up behind the pegasus and wrap your hooves around her. She tenses up but slowly settles into your hug.
"I know that you're scared and that you're feeling horrible right now, but you can't let that get to you. Just stay with us, Friends help each other."
>The two of you are silent for a while before PhotoBomb lets out a pathetic, "okay."

>You slip into the security hallway and find Spearmint shivering on the ground.
>PB looks at you worried as if she is waiting for some kind of answer.
.Meanwhile, Spearmint is whispering, "I'm a good pony. I'll do what you want," on repeat.

>>

I'm not sure how much longer our party can last. PB is suicidal and Spear is loosing it. If we had a sanity meter i'm afraid is dangerously low.

>Your sister continues shaking on the floor.
"Spear!? Spearmint. Spearmint!"
>Spearmint, opens her eyes you and shoots up to her hooves, "I'm sorry, I'm Sorry! I won't do it again! I'm sorry! I won't do it again please!"
>Spearmint begins baking herself into a corner until she cant go any further. Eventually her rump begins sliding down the wall until she is using her hind hooves in a futile attempt to push herself further into the corner.
"Spearmint, shhh shhh. It's me, you know who I am right?"
>"eleven fifty-four I'm eleven fifty-four."
"Spear, It's me, Pepper... Peppermint do you remember me?"
>"Peppermint? I-I'm sorry, I failed, I'll do better next time! I promise!"
"It's okay, you're doing just fine, you're a good pony."
>You begin to hear her breathing slow down and you slowly go in and start cuddling with her.

"Yes."

Okay, I could be wrong but our I think options are.

1. Have the Ai send a escort bot to take us somewhere.

2. Attack or fool the Ai into letting us in

3. Go back and try to find another route

4. Wait a cycle for maintenance mode to occure and see if we can get through at that time.

5. Go back and try to sneak past the giant mole monster thing.

Which of these should we try players? Also should we tell PB and Spear of these options and see what they think?

Try to think positive thoughts yourself. As stressful as this place is and as hopeless as things may feel we can't give in now.
>>

Since the scanner is confused by the fact there are two 11-54's, maybe if we convince it that there's only two of us and the scanners are mistakenly detecting a third one, the escort bots will miss the other 11-54 when we are being escorted out.

>Still comforting Spearmint, you decide to check on the cut Spear has on her forehead from having it slammed into the wall by Bio-form Twenty. It looks like it's scabbed up nicely.
>While you're taking care of your sister you remember that you haven't exactly been the sanest pony either. You're little angry outbursts even got you all stuck in Apollo's lab for a while. you decide that you might need to take some time to center yourself now and again as things continue, for everyone's sake.
"So girls, I think we have a few options here, We can have the Ai send a escort bot to take us somewhere upstairs, Attack or fool the Ai into letting us in... somehow... Go back and try to find another route, wait a cycle for maintenance mode to occur and see if we can get through or go back and try to sneak past the giant mole monster. I wish we could just convice the A.I that it's seeing two 11-54s when there's only one of us but I think it has cameras to see us with and recognizes that there are two ponies dressed differently, so I think we should turn back and try to find a way to one of these staircases, mostly so we don't cause Spear any unneeded stress.
>Spearmint sighs, "I-I'll be fine, please don't worry about..."
>Photobomb cuts her off, "No the kid is right, you were a mess there. I thought you were going to start going savage there for a momant. and I'm just. Really happy that you're doing okay now."

Something doesn't feel right about the way Photobomb said that.

>>
>>28121481
PB's plan can work if we use the smoke grenades- And if she's not suicidal, but I fear she is. Pepper's going to need earplugs and a bag over her head if she's going to survive the robot escort.

"Yeah, maybe we can use the smoke..."
You suddenly catch that PhotoBomb isn't very good at hiding her intentions right now. She also seems to be having a little trouble sitting still.
You bring your headinto the crook of Spears neck.
"We're going to try back-tracking, Keep an eye on PhotoBomb and make sure she doesn't try sacrificing herself."
Spearmint gives you a soft nod and you let go.
"I think we can find a better way if we head back down stairs."
You then flash PhotoBomb a worried look before you muster up a nervous smile.
You all climb up the plants that grew into this interstitial floor and head back past the stairs that also lead down and the room Twenty left you in. As you continue down the hall you begin to see some larger hallways as well as a working light. Further down the hall you can hear some movement, but you're having trouble seeing past the florescent fixture.

You search the desk for anything useful, you find some pens, rubber-bands paperclips and a scrunchie. After raiding the desk you check the bulletin board in the hall. Nothing seems to be that useful, most of it is covered in policy changes for smoke breaks announcements for the employee picnic flyers for CPR and first-aid classes as well as optional training for a hazard course and another memo about phasing out the help of bio-form 13.
As you're reading you keep a bit of your attention on the thing lurking around in the dark that spots you and begins to act like it's going to charge. Feeling rather done with this shit you take aim and fire the rest of your .45 sub machine gun ammo at the creature, quickly dropping it. The creature rolls around in the shadows in pain but it seems like it will very quickly expire.
Without a bat of an eye you turn around and head into the medical bay the was marked on the wall. It looks like someone or something raided this room a long time ago. and left it a mess.
You kind of wish that you could have gotten a map from the A.I. but the only one it offered was near the entrance to the lab that you didn't visit since they insisted on escorting your party.
As you scan the room with your eyes you remember that you wanted to ask Spearmint about a few things she's done, like her weird lie in Apollo's lab when she tried to make something up to tell him. You also remember that you should probably tell Photobomb about Spear's past so she understands why Spearmint is the way she is. In fact, there's a lot of things you should tell PB about this place but you just never seem to have the time.
Maybe you shouldn't dwell on that. You do still just want to get out of here right? You feel like you're so close that you can taste the fresh air.

What do you do?

You poke around a bit trying to salvage anything useful in the medical bay. Despite all of your searching through the cabinets all you find is a blue plastic tub and long emptied pill-bottles. All of the glass cabinets seem to have been deliberately smashed but in one of the glass cabinets you find a lap-top computer. Feeling a bit let down with your salvage you ask Spearmint if she can leave the room for a bit so you can talk to PhotoBomb. Spearmint promptly follows orders and guards the room.
"So, Photobomb... What do you, uhh, think of this place so far?"
>"I think we both know the answer to that question."
"Yeah, heh... About earlier when you said that something must have happened to Spear... Well"
You pause as you get ready to unload a bunch of information.
>"She looked like she was going to go savage, that kind of scared me."
"Well, uh, look. Spearmint used to be... tortured. a lot. From what I've been able to tell there was something that they were experimenting with to try and make her more obedient and they would use her ability to re-spawn to kind of take their torture to the next level, if you know what I mean."
>PB just stares at you for a moment, "Why the hell would they think that would work? Wouldn't that just make her hate the ponies doing that to her?"
"I don't know, but that isn't the only thing they used to do to her, as far as I know. Either way, she's just a little damaged and she seems to have a little trouble being independent. That's kind of why she tends to just listen to what I tell her. I've seen her getting a little better but she still has... Episodes, I guess."
>Photo Bomb looks at the door, Okay. I guess I'll try not to say anything about it then. "
"Yeah, I mean, this place has done a lot of questionable things like making an alicorn with muscular dystrophy and..."
>PB cuts you off, "I'm sorry what? Did you just say that they made an alicorn?"

"Yeah it was unable to move and."
>"Okay, I'm holy shit, the stuff I saw so far was crazy enough but, shit... Kid, Pep Pepper.I need some time to think about what that means."
As PB seems to be lost in thought you slip the scrunchie you found earlier over PhotoBomb's mane.
>"What are you doing?"
"I just wanted to get your mane out of your eyes.
>PB cracks a smile and says thank you.
You walk out of the Med-bay and start walking over to the doors you saw busted out. as your walking you ask PB if she can let you talk to Spear for a bit. she agrees and pulls the shotgun she found from her hoodie while she guards the hallway both you and spear head down.
The hall opens into another hallway with doors that are leaking in a yellow light.
"So, um Spearmint. I think we haven't really talked as much as we should have."
>"Okay."
Feeling like your at a loss of words you ask the first thing that comes to mind.
"So, when I told you to make up a lie for Apollo, what was that?"
>"Oh that, it was just, something I remember from the researcher's music."
"Oh, um..."
>"Did you want to ask about earlier?"
"Excuse me?"
>"It's fine if you want to talk about me loosing myself there for a moment," Spearmint looks like she is embarrassed, "I can't really blame anyone else for what I did, it was kind of weird... and I'm sorry."

"Well, I don't know, just try taking a few breaths and thinking happy thoughts next time. I have confidence in you I think that..."
You're interrupted by some banging around in the next room. In the door's window you see what looks like large windows and boxes but the room is too dark to make out much else, you think you see something moving in there but it might be just part of your imagination.

You try to figure out what the smell is but it doesn't seem to be familiar.
You reach for your gun before you realize that you just finished using your last two bullets for it on the last creature. You slowly back up and slowly close the door with some sickening squeals of the hinges.
You flop onto your rump and just stare at PB and Spear.
>"W-what happened?" PB asks.
"There's something in there. I don't know what it is but I think it knows that we're here. I don't think this room is worth exploring."
>"Where should we go now?" Spearmint asks.
"I don't know but these doors also open this way so you two might want to keep your guns ready. I think I'm out of ammo.

What do you do?

Go further down the hall or something, there should be more rooms to look through.
>>
>>28165423
Take the broken door on the floor in the hall and raise it up to serve as a miniature wall and lay it across the broken entrance. That way if the creature goes into the hall to look for us we can hear it knock down the makeshift door wall.

You check some of the other labs again finding some stethiscopes a minifridge full of something long expired an eye wash station bottles of base compounds, a hot plate, a book of matches, latex gloves, safety googles, a couple more lab coats, what you assume is a lead lined apron, bottles labeled catalyst 165, 320, 226 and 4 which may have also expired and a webby sack of eggs.

After raiding the labs you set off to the unexplored part of the hall to find a double door labeled "Power core" and a single door labeled pump control. Both doors seem to be locked and have a keypad on them.

What do you take from the labs and what do you do?

lead vest seems key, eye wash bottles, hot plate (yum fried pokeies), matches gloves, googles, lab coats, and the catalysts, just in case.

See if we can open those doors with force, if not maybe one of the compounds is corrosive. Start with the pump room, don't want to get a face full of radiation if we don't have to.

You didn't find any notation on the bottles of catalyst in the labs and the bottles didn't seem to have much more information themselves.
The compounds you found were a bottle of zinc a bottle of hydrochloric acid, powdered aluminum, sulfur gallium, a bottle of francium-fluoride, potassium nitrate, Boron, iron oxide, arsenic, Tetraethyllead and silver nitrate.
You end up taking a hot plate, goggles, the lead apron, gloves, and matches which PB carries. She complains about how heavy the apron is as she starts moving around, wearing it under her hoodie.
Taking a look in the Power core door's window you see a broken door and equipment scattered all over the ground. you think you can see some sort of light pacing around the back room but you can't tel what it is or if it's just you mind playing tricks on you.
You try to pry the Pump control door open but it won't budge. You also take a look for smudges on the numbers but all of the keys seem to be very dirty.

What do you do?

>a bottle of hydrochloric acid

We might want to go back and get this one. If we really get in a jam we could use it to melt a doorknob or some monster.
>>
>>28181475
Tell the others that it looks like our choices are to try to get this door or the other door open, explore that warehouse room that probably has a monster lurking in it, or go back and either sneak past the mole monster or try to be escorted by the bots through that lab.

On that bright side we have a hot plate now! Maybe we could cook something later.
>>
>>28181475
>Power core that's possibly on nuclear power and is probably leaking
Good thing we have that lead apron.
>>
>>28181475
Those chemicals are useful we should go back and fiddle with them
thermite with the iron oxide and powdered aluminium would probably be useful.
Also francium flouride that sounds really dangerous and radioactive we should take that and make sure we don't drop it.
and the catalysts might be able to ignite the thermite or we could throw them at something if all else fails.
also i probably sound like a retard to anyone who actually knows chemistry

As much as I like the idea but Hydrochloric acid isn't the strongest of acids and any sort of general use bottle you're going to find in a lab is unlikely to be anywhere near strong enough to do something like that quickly. Probably the best you could hope for is blinding something if you managed to hit it right in the eyes plus given it's age it's likely lost most of its original potency.

Hydrochloric acid (HCl) can be used as an anti-corrosive compound.

Powdered aluminum is one half of thermite. The other is powdered rust. Use the HCl on some corroded metal, then dry the rust residue and grind it into a powder. Mix 3 parts rust powder with 2 parts aluminum for thermite.

Francium Fluoride is highly unstable and will react violently the second the two elements are combined. Stay the fuck away from it.

Potassium nitrate is saltpeter, one of the main components of gunpowder. Combine 75% saltpeter with 15% charcoal and 10% sulfur to make basic black powder, like in fireworks and explosives.

Boron can be mixed with HCl to make boric acid, which repels bugs and has antiseptic and fire-retardant properties.

Iron oxide is rust. Mix with the aluminum powder.
Arsenic is fucking poisonous.

Tetraethyl lead (TEL) is a gasoline additive that isn't used anymore because it fucks up spark plugs and converters. Probably not useful unless you desperately need fuel.

Silver nitrate is another first aid chemical. It disinfects and can be used to burn off warts.

Forgot this. Gallium sulfide is a semiconductor that's also used in water treatment. I don't know the specifics, though.

You fiddle with the key-pad for a bit to see if you can open it. After a while you ask PB for help but she doesn't seem to know more than you do about it.
Eventually you tire of the key-pad and remember some of the chemicals you found.
You and your party head back to the lab you found the chemicals in and you start to look through them again.
"PB, what do you know about chemistry?"
>"I made a balloon pop with baking soda in grade school, and I also did a baking soda volcano... and I remember them freezing marshmallows in high school with liquid nitrogen... So yeah, not much."
"Right, what about you Spear?"
>"I was really never taught anything about chemistry so probably as much as you."
Spearmint takes a look at some of the bottles.
"Wait... Does rust and aluminum make thermite?"
"Yeah..." You're confused about how you know that. "And I think we have most of what we need for gunpowder too."
As you continue to stare at the bottles you decide that the arsenic is too dangerous to handle and you see something else that looks out of place.
"Francium Fluoride?"
>"Spear give you a confused look, "Does it really say that?"
"Yeah..."
You pick up the bottle and swic it around a bit. you feel something shifting it's wait around in there but it feels like it's packed to thee top of the bottle and doesn't seem to make much noise. Something else that you notice is that the label for this one looks like it's just some marker on a piece of masking tape instead of a printed one.
>Photo Bomb just stares at both of you, "What- what are you two talking about? You said something about gun-powder?"

"Well P'bers, I think Spear and I know more about chemistry than we thought... I don't know why."
>"Yeah, you two do this kinda thing often? like when you just knew what radiation poisoning's symptoms were out of nowhere?"
"I'm not sure... Anyway, Spear and I think we can make cool bombs out of these chemicals. for opening doors and blowing up monsters!"
As you think about explosions you realize that your mood is brightening up.
>Spearmint keeps looking at the Francium Fluoride bottle, "So, what do you want to do with this thing."
"I think PB should open it!"
You float it over to PhotoBomb.
"Now be careful that bottle's contents might be radioactive, explode or both."
>"W-what!?"
"Wait, no. on second thought, I'll open it from a distance. Get me a pair of googles that lead apron and some gloves."
You put on all of those supplies and Spearmint and PB duck behind an upturned desk.
"By the way, if I don't make it, it looks like our choices are to try to get this door or the other door open, explore that warehouse room that probably has a monster lurking in it, or go back and either sneak past the mole monster or try to be escorted by the bots through that lab."
You swallow a lump in your throat and begin to grip the cap.
You Tightly close your eyes and pop the cap. After you're sure that nothing is exploding you open your eye to see a small spring-loaded toy snake slowly emerge from the bottle and lazily flop out of the bottle. You look at the bottle more closely and find a note at the bottom of the bottle that reads, "Didn't you learn anything in college intern?"
You breath a sigh of relief and tell your companions that it's safe to come out.

PB just kind of stops bracing herself and gets up.

Silly Pepper, thermite is overall pretty stable and hard to ignite. You can even turn a blowtorch on it and it won't go off.

Typically, the ignition powder is a mix of barium peroxide and aluminum, which is ignited by a magnesium ribbon. Unfortunately, we don't have barium peroxide.

Do you think a fire spell from Pepper or Spear would be enough without any ignition powder? Cause I don't think it would be.

>Spearmint is carrying a .308 rifle with 15 rounds
>Photo Bomb is carrying a shotgun with 10 shells

"Do you girls have a name for my new snake."
>PB shakes her head, "No I think you've already com up with some good ones on your own."
>Spearmint says, "I Didn't even give myself a name before I met you, I'm not good at naming things."
PhotoBomb looks at Spearmint with a bit of confusion but seem to hold her tongue.
"Well." You think for a bit.
"He will be known as Francis Boomer t. Snek and he is a very dignified gentlemen. Boomer for short, I mean Boom is written on him."

Now that you've named your snake you poke your head out of the door and begin making your way... you're still not sure where you're going. but before you make a decision you hear what sounds like the door you set up fall down.

What do you do?

You pull out your crowbar and turn to warm PB and Spear.
Before you say anything Spearmint has her gun ready and PhotoBomb fumbles with the shotgun in a sort of worried haste.
You try to look down the hall to the door you set up but the hallway is too dark.
You have a straight shot to the stairway which is about 15 feet away, the problem being that there are no doors on the stairway entrance and nothing blocking the stairs on the higher level either.

What do you do?
>>
>>28223939
Head to the stairs.
>>
>>28223939
Do we hear anything? Any sounds coming from the where the door barricade fell?
>>
>>28223939
Go to the stairs and make a stand with our back facing the stairway, with us being in the front. Get any light you can going so you can see the thing approaching.

If we can't shoot it to death, being in a room with it would really suck. And we can sacrifice ourselves while they run up the stairs, if we really have to. I would suggest possibly using the explosive that we made, but we'd have to carefully set those in place so it would get in the explosion, and I don't think we have the time for that.
>>
>>28223939
Hey, do you think we could douse the toy Snake in the Arsenic and toss it out there as bait? That way we might kill the creature without using the bomb or using bullets on it.

I think that's a good idea, personally. Not sure if it will go for it, but it might be worth a shot. Could even put some blood on it if we really wanted it to go for it. Trouble with that is, I can't imagine anyone wants to draw their own blood.

>>
>>28237639
So here's how thermite works.

It has a melting point of around 600 degrees celcius, and burns incredibly hot, around 2200 degress celsius. Magnesium burns at around 3100 degrees C, which is why a strip of magnesium is typically used to start the reaction.
Thermite basically melts. That's the reaction. It won't explode unless you put it on top of a piece of ice and THEN ignite it.

https://youtu.be/o8gapa8ibK0?t=1m28s
Normal thermite reaction

https://youtu.be/w6cMmk8LZgQ?t=2m9s
On top of a piece of ice

Thermite has a few useful properties for us.
1. Burns 3 times hotter than lava
We can melt through almost anything.
2. Is too bright to look at.
Can theoretically be used as area denial if we could get it lit.

But really, 600 degrees C is our magic number here. If we can find something that's about as hot as molten lava, we can light our thermite.
>>
>>28237713
Informative, thanks. If Flashpoint McGee can get something that hot we should use it to melt through the mole's brain. We can also throw small amounts of it and ignite it with TK for an explosion since it would be areosolized. But that's making things too complicated.

"Okay, maybe It's not something out to get us, maybe it's friendly."
>Spearmint shakes her head at you, "I don't think we can chance that."
You consider poisoning Boomer and feeding him to the creature, but you soon drive those ideas out of your head. Mister Snek is your first toy, and you know that Spear only played with pillows and blankets when she was a foal so you imagine how rare something like Mister Snek really is and you would much rather give him to Spear than feed him to some drooling monster. Also Poisoning it with Arsenic might not be the safest thing to do or most effective thing to try.
"Let's go."
You usher your companions to the stairs and begin making your way up.
As you make it to the stairs you hear something approaching but you can't see it.
Eventually you realize that you can hear it coming from near the ceiling.
You stop at the base of the stairs and look at the concrete that separates the stairwell from the other room and it's dropped ceiling.
What you hear is a bit of a low growl and irregular dripping.
You look left and right as you try to figure out what you're going to do.
"P-pB... Is your gun loaded.
>"Yes."
"You do know that the shot-gun is going to kick like a mule right?"
>"I don't... Sure..."
"Alright."

I'd suggest doing gesture drawings of random things you see around you when you have the spare time. I think that after doing that long enough you should be able to be quicker about putting details into things without getting too caught up on how to start them.
>>
>>28238018
You could streamline the process by drawing a series of expressions and poses for each of the characters. Thus you could use that as a base to build your images off of when needed.

"Aim at the ceiling, I think it's up there.
You approach the doorway with your crowbar out, to try to bait the creature. As you approach you realize that PB doesn't seem too sure of herself. Maybe you shouldn't trust her with a shotgun behind you.
Before you fully realize how bad of a decision you may have just made really sinks in a large creature quickly drops from the ceiling. A shotgun blast sails over the creature but before it swipes at you one of Spear's bullets tears into it's back leg.
The creature screeches in pain and lights up! The creature then reels back bending it's legs away from you. You're standing right between your friends and the beast and although you've taken a couple steps back you may be blocking a clear shot.

You continue to back away from the creature and veer to the right. As you do you realize that maybe you could do a a whole lot more damage with that shotgun than PB.
You envelop the shotgun in your magic.
"I'm taking the shotgun!"
PB releases the shotgun and backs up quickly.
As you're taking the shotgun from PB the creature leaps at you claws first, It misses and you swing your crowbar at the creatures head. You miss the eyes and hook it on the crown ridges the you discover are part of a hardened plate.
Suddenlly your crowbar is ripped from your grip as Spear lodges another round through the creature's back causing it to suddenly thrash and hiss.
The surprise of the crowbar being yanked from your grip causes you to loose a hold of the shotgun.
While you are staring face to face with the creature which is now fully fixated on Spear you have an idea pop into your head, perhaps you could feed this thing to the mole, perhaps eating this thing will be enough of a distraction to simply walk past the mole.

What do you do?
>>

iirc just waking the mole up would cause a lot of collateral damage, taking out whole floors just by moving around. If we're going the mole route we might as well bring it's carcass along, but I think we'd be better off sneaking.

I don't want to CTRL ALT DEL this CYOA part of the reason 11-54 I enjoy making a new picture each new update and I feel like pre-made assets would take some of the fun out of it for me and affect the feel of the quest. Also I at least want to believe that making a new drawing for each post of this and other quests is helping me grow as an artist, and honestly when I first started one of my goals was to use this as a way to force myself to get better at drawing.

As the creature is distracted you grab the shotgun with your telekinesis and point it right at the creature's head.
You pull the trigger and the shotgun blows a whole through the creature's head. The Creature immediately flops over and it's lights die out.
As your adrenaline dies out you begin to slow your breath, heat still pounding.
"Whew, that was crazy, huh?"
>Spearmint looks at you confused, "I guess."
"Hey, do you think we could feed this thing to the mole?"

You check the white orbs on it's back and they do seem to be eggs.
"Yeah, I think so?"

To give you an idea, the quest is less than half as long as Hijack and Threshold with somewhere around 475 posts. As far as when it's going to end is really up to what decisions are made by the players. Although I have tried to push players whenever things seem to be going nowhere I try not to set any sort of pace, but it will likely take a couple of months to find an ending.

Of course if I wasn't dealing with this crap I'd be camping with family this weekend but fixing my car happens to come first since I've been car-less for a week now.
